Make this your best, and last, Company move We all have dozens of choices when it comes time to hang our license. And, there are lots of differences between them all, just like there are with people. That's why the different structures, and business platforms, exist. It doesn't mean that one company is necessarily better, or worse, than another company. It depends on whether that company is meeting the needs of any particular agent. We have designed a company that definitely doesn't fit all agents. In fact, we're only looking for it to fit about a dozen. The concept behind Doug Burger Realty Group is to take agents that have a good work ethic, are willing to learn through our mentoring, have good people skills, and a desire to make a six figure income. As you start to embrace new ways of doing business, and try to maintain a competitive edge, you realize that the real estate business has become extremely complicated, and expensive to excel in. As an example, when Doug started out thirty years ago, he didn't even own a typewriter. Agents didn't have cell phones, purchase and sale agreements were two or three pages, and fax machines didn't exist. He made an eighteen hour trip one day to go to Bend, Oregon, and back, just to get a signature that he had to have! Now, to stay competitive, you have to juggle keeping up with all of the new laws and regulations, have the latest in technology solutions, research your software options, maintain web sites, look into, and implement, search engine optimization techniques, work with pay per click companies, follow up with all of the details of your transactions, try to keep your sellers happy with their ever-increasing demands and expectations, cultivate and manage past, present and future clients, FIND those clients,.... We could go on and on. The point being, is that you start feeling that the business is controlling you, you become overwhelmed and anxious, you no longer are enjoying it, or even have the time you used to have to just help people buy and sell houses!
